Game updated stuck on black screen

Same here trying to find a fix and will post back as soon as possible.

You need to check also the game profile created by the Adrenalin Software, Check the Battlefront II game profile created in the Adrenalin 2020 and check if "Enhanced Sync" is on in the profile and change it to off, it happened to me that it was on in the game profile.

Updated to PC Battlefront 2 December 17th update and game starts with loading screen then window suddenly closes every time, not making it to the main menu.
Origin repair does nothing and my NVIDIA driver version is 441.12 which is recent.
Removed folder in documents, still doesn't work.

Working fine before the update.

To note I got this issue myself and trying to find a workaround in the meantime, the  below list is what I am gong to try. 

• Tried different graphical settings in the game.
• Use DX 11 if you are using DX 12.
• Run Ccleaner.

• GPU drivers reinstalled.
• Make sure that all of your drivers are up to date.
• Make sure that windows is up to date.
• Clean boot the PC.

• Turn off Origin in-game.
• Turn off any overlay system and programs.
• Turn of Xbox game bar in windows.
• Run Origin and SWBF as admin.
• Add SWBF2 as an exception to any anti-virus/firewall
• Turn off anti-virus/firewall
• Removed SWBF2 exe and then run repair in Origin.
• Remove the SWBF2 document folder in documents and then turn off Origin cloud sync for SWBF2. (it removes settings and it removes the single player and arcade progression)
• Try to do a manual uninstall of Origin.

• Reinstall Star Wars: Battlefront 2.
• Try a new windows account with admin privileges.

The information we need:

• We need a Dxdiag from you to see what drivers and hardware you are using.
• What troubleshooting steps have you done to try to solve the performance issue you had with SWBF2?

Hello there! I found something that worked for me. If you go to the SWBF2 document, settings, open the BoootOptions file in notepad, and change GSTRender Enable DX12 from 0 to 1. Open the game, it will update your shaders for quite a long time, but after it'll work fine🙂

I was stuck on black screen and got it fixed by running both origin and swbf2 exe as admin

Hi all,

After the most recent update today, my game has been refusing to load. It launches into either an infinite blackscreen or it loads for ~5 minutes before crashing. I already tried EA's proposed solution to game crashing on startup as well as trying to repair the game using Origin (also restarted my PC to no avail). Running Origin as Administrator also does nothing.

Any help is appreciated.
