Game updated stuck on black screen

I did as @LPolloDiablo said and ran my game and the launcher as an administrator. The game did launch however I am stuck loading into a match now. The map screen is up with loading symbol in the top right moving but I never get in.

Did anyone get a hold of you? bc im having the same problem.

Same here. The only difference is my game wont even pop up the loading screen. It just black screens until it crashes or I close it.

Today (Dec 17) I downloaded the new Rise of Skywalker update for BF2. But when I launched the game it just showed a black screen. I played the game just a few hours before the update and I wasn't having this problem then, so this is something completely new to me. However, sometimes when I try to boot the game the loading screen shows up, but unfortunately it is frozen (both the thing in the top right corner that indicates that the game is loading and the fps counter). I have read through multiple discussions about this, but none of the solutions are working and sadly I couldn't find any discussions that were newer than 1 year old. I've made sure that I have the latest graphics drivers and windows updates. I have also repaired the game and restarted the computer. I've also tried all the solutions that I could find on the internet. The only thing that I haven't done is reinstalling the game, but I would prefer another solution since my wifi is quite slow. Other than that I don't know any other solution except for waiting for a game patch or a new driver routine/windows update. I love the game and would want to be able to play it again soon, especially now after the new update (which I haven't been able to try out). So if anyone knows a solution to this problem please let me know. 🙂

What happens when the bug occurs? /  Blank screen or celebration loading screen forever...
What do you expect to see? Blank loading screen or the new celebration loading screen in a infinite state or a crash back to the desktop.

Same problem as first poster, after the 12-17-19 update... I ran the repair option (more than once), I uninstalled and reinstalled the game and I even checked drivers... when attempting to start the application, it either stays blank and loads forever or, I get the new celebration loading screen that loads up and then after a long while, it crashes.
