Gamma issue on launch
This has been bothering me for so long and I'm absolutely sick of it. I'm playing in DX12 mode because DX11 is far too crash happy and sluggish - DX12 may run at a lower frame rate, but the game runs...
You are the first person I've ever heard say DX12 helps with an issue. LOL If you search this forum, you will see numerous posts saying DX12 should be turned off. (It is for me because of the issues it produced.)
Setting above aside for just a second, what you're experiencing sounds similar to what I was seeing when experimenting with HDR. You might want to check the HDR settings (in game and in Windows and on your monitor).
If that doesn't help, I suggest you add screen shots of all your video settings and attach a DXDIAG report, as someone may spot something.
