Hello there! 🙌
I may be wrong about what you are talking.
But actually, we can target the Object.
(Like the below photo.)
In this case, I ... as Captain Phasma, said "Defend this objoctive!".

@Sati_Sati That is precisely why I want more emotes! lol I mark the objective now as well, but the problem is when players aren't paying attention to the map, or just don't notice the new yellow outline (i.e. CS you can mark the reactors in the ship phase, but players get distracted with the fire fight in the front hallways, meanwhile, the enemy makes their way back and destroys the objectives before any of the distracted players realize/LEARN from what happened).
Sometimes, it boils down to a 5 second fight, and how many players respond in those 5 seconds. I have some success with Yoda's strobe light ability (flashing Yoda's block lol) but there are times you need to communicate things other than Follow Me. There are already so many audio cues in the game (footsteps, hero banter, the voice commands when you mark the objective) so why not add more? I personally love playing with headphones, because you notice all those little details, and you play better as a result. When you can hear how close the light saber combat is, or when you hear someone running up behind you... Even the force abilities sound incredible.
If Yoda dropped in from above, healed you, then said "Come with me, you must!" while you were just out and about making your way to an objective zone, would you not be inclined to follow? Half the battle sometimes is just escorting players to objective zones. What if you are about to give up on a hallway, but Yoda comes from behind saying "Forward, we must push!" and starts blocking enemy fire and walking down the hall? Practical uses, although aware players wouldn't need the audio cue, it would still add to the "scene."
There were a few other ideas I had like differentiating when a Hero marks an objective. That might help people prioritize when they decide on an objective. Especially if there are two heroes playing separate (not running around together), then you can both target different objectives, or rendezvous at another.

WHAT IF!!!!... You can use War General Emotes to communicate with online players, AND TO COMMAND AI!
- Follow Me: AI will follow you until they die, or until they reach another objective zone.
- This Isn't Working/We Need a New Plan: AI will seek another vantage point to attack their targeted objective, or attack/defend with another preset strategy.
- Fall Back/Retreat: AI will retreat and find cover outside the command post they are currently in and continue to attack from the outside until the command post is clear, or until a percentage of occupying enemies have been eliminated, at which point they will automatically begin, and announce that they are going to........
- Push Forward/Press the Attack: AI will move into an objective zone if they are near, or stop whatever else they are doing and seek the nearest objective zone (this could inadvertently help when AI are stuck in weird parts of the map).
- Watch Out/Get Ready: AI will reserve their abilities for the next X seconds, only using their guns, melee, and will find turrets if there are turrets available.
- Hold the Line/Hold your Positions: AI will seek cover and stay in the immediate area, or remain in an objective zone.
Hero Commands are erased when they die, or when another command is received (either by other Hero, or automated programming that overrides commands).
