The lightsaber stuns are a great equalizer between lightsaber characters and blaster characters. Most of the players, who figured out the mechanics of this game play blaster heroes with well timed rolls and shooting, occasionally using an ability to blast a hero. Lightsaber stuns can be avoided by properly timing them. Do not always roll away from the target, but towards it. Lightsabers will miss you completely if timed right.
All the games are about learning, learn the mechanics and improve it through routine. It is challenging and the more you have to master, the more fun it will be. Some players have more skills than others, that is just how it works in the world... so why would the world slow down to your pace? The fact is you have to improve, learn a new skill, accept the challenge and not fold. If everything would be handed to you, you would soon feel like Saitama in One punch man, empty, without a meaning... having no challenges sucks.
The most boring games are those, where you win every round, winning easy is boring... what you should cry for is balancing system based on personal ranking and a ranking based on a time period, so if you return after a long time with basically no skill, the game would not match you as an elite player.
There is trully only one downside to this mode, and that is, when you are on the loosing team, you will spawn all over the map and when you actually get to your teammates, the winning team can ambush you 4 to 1. This is something EA should look into besides the matchmaking system.

Never liked the mode....no depth, and as said it becomes a hack n slash. To me hero showdown is better when you have quality players
