I cant play Battlefront 2 online, how can I fix error code 426?

My Son cant play Battlefront 2 online even though Iv given him permission to play pegi 16, how can I fix error code 426?

    You can add ps+ to all accounts by activating your account with 12 months as your primary PS4. Problem solved.

Are you suggesting a 12 month subscription to PS+ fixes this issue?  Why would a 12 month as opposed to a monthly subscription make any difference?

Just tried adding the 12 month subscription to the primary account.
My sons account still won’t access online content.
What a joke. Will have to delete his profile and start a new one.
