yes as one of the few players that used it frequently before the update, it has become overpowered to the point where it might now be more commonly exploited. Updating to 3 shots could of been more card base for the players devoted to its use.
When I saw the patch note, I thought 3 rounds buff would be great and the damage buff would be like +20% or +40% or so. Actually it was 300%! LOL
Twice the pride, double the fall. Oh, it have tripled! 😕
Though I like these huge buffs. It will bring some changes to the game environment for better or worse.

If ships leave infantry alone no one bothers to shoot them ... but ships try to get cheap kills then infantry will equip the ion and revenge kill the ships mercilessly ..its great stops all the ships getting cheap kills. I luv the ion buff .. kills tanks /speeders/ atst much better :P

Yeah, now we can easily destroy those vehicles. I hope the devs won't nerf it too much. 🤔

I have always used the ion torpedo to combat turrets, vehicles and Aircraft. I felt the buff was necessary as all these vehicles had the advantage. When the buff came out, I thought that it had gone too far and gave troopers the advantage. I have since changed my mind. Whilst playing, I have noticed that the users of vehicles have changed their tactics by no longer simply blasting everything in site without fear but having to do more hit and run and think more about their gameplay.
By the way - 1 torpedo takes out speeders on Endor and Tattooine. Takes more on Starkiller Base. 2 torpedoes for most aircraft but usually 3 or more for bombers. 3 torps take out the AT-ST. Of course, less if they are already damaged.
