Is this game still in Beta?
Product: Star Wars Battlefront II Platform:PC What is your issue related to? General Summarize your bug General complaints and improvement suggestions What is your gamertag/PSN ID/EA Account name...
I want to add one thing:
the in game friend grouping (on PC platform) is complete garbage!
I am talking about the group that you can create in the top left corner...
Not only does the invite not work in most cases, but the built in vioce chat is so annoying!
There seems to be a mute button, but most of the time it does not work!
But why is there even an auto-activated voice chat??
@EA in which century do you live??
In 2018 people use proprietary programs (like discord) to talk while gaming, not that stupid crash thats build in!
Did you play the "Beta" last summer? If you think about it, the Beta Galactic Assault was only on ONE map, out of all the maps they had available. ONE Starfighter assault map. VERY limited hero availability. Only a fraction of the available vehicles (no AT-AT or AT-ST, for example). The Beta was very glitchy, and I have to say I was overly-optimistic that the bugs were going to be addressed before launch. The fact that they gave us so very little in the "Beta" shows just how unprepared they were to launch the game on time. It's no wonder the game was so full of bugs at launch. This is such a crying shame, because there is so much potential for this to be the most awesome game out there. But when the awesomeness is tucked in between one crazy bug after another, it's no wonder they are getting bad press. I feel really bad for the devs who have probably put their heart and soul into designing an amazing game, only to be thwarted by unreasonable deadlines, insufficient staff, and a hierarchy that is probably more interested in money than in a great game (lots of us have worked in soul-sucking jobs like that before, I am sure). Can you hear the conversation? Dev: "Boss, I don't think the gaming community is going to be happy with this progression system, and the game is too buggy to launch." Boss: "Do as I say, minion! We launch next week and will rake in millions!" Dev: "May the wrath of ten thousand gamers fall like an orbital strike upon your head!" Boss: "The orbital strike is too glitchy to do any damage...bwahaha!" Ten thousand gamers: "WRATH!"
I do not think the game is rushed though...
since EA got the licence from Disney in 2013, they only developed 2 games... I would say that is plenty of time for game development. And I am not asking for much, just for one game that is actually done properly with well thought of features and is optimized enough to run smoothly.
However, I am not sure whose fault the current situation is...
Obviously, all the loot crate BS is purely designed to rip off players and I am not blaming the engineers who programmed this feature on the request of their boss.
But all the other bugs and instability issues with the game just show how badly the game is programmed! I do not want to question the quality of EAs development Team (DICE, Criterion, Motive for this particular title) but I have a hard time believing, that these are professionals...
