Joining empty lobbies/servers

No news of fixes for this still? It's been 3 months now!!

Same here, I've gotten into maybe two or three games the last 3 months. I try daily during peak times, same result every time. Completely unacceptable.

I'm with all of you. Have been able to play GA and HvV every time but cannot get a game in any other mode. Has been more than a month of trying. If the search picks up a game, it is always an empty or near empty lobby that never fills enough to start a game. Platform: Xbox - Region: Australia. No good getting daily challenges for SA, Strike or Extraction. Can't complete milestones etc for starfighters. Annoying!!!

@EA_Ataashi  -  Still getting the No Data Available bug on all games after leaving Arcade mode. Have to quit SWBF2 and relaunch to fix. Also have not been able to get a game in any mode other than GA & HvsV since August update. Have tried different ping sites to no avail. Only get empty/near empty lobbies that never fill. You would think that if the games are so popular  (as you can see by the number of posts on this problem) these empty lobbies would fill quickly but never do.

The frustrating part is that we never hear anything from EA about it. No timeline for a fix or that they even understand what the problem is. Yet it's driving people away from the game. 

I guess my results were unusual in last nights test.  For the first time in months, I was able to get into Strike, Blast, Extraction, and Galactic Assault in under a minute (fully populated).  Most under 30 seconds.   Before, I could only get in Galactic Assault.  I'm in US on PC.

Seems odd. I did try extraction last night with no luck so just went to GA again. It seems related as the problems started with July which was when they first did that matchmaking update.

Hey @ggibb65,

No data available happens after playing Arcade then going into MP mode. Fix:  When you finish Arcade, restart the game.

@Major-Band1t- thanks but already do that. Can you explain why I can't get a game in any other mode than GA, HvsH or Hero Showdown. I only come up with empty lobbies. If the other games are so popular, why aren't the empty lobbies filling? Have tried different times of day/night without success.

Hey @ggibb65, Happens to me too. Sometimes within the 50 second clock there aren't enough players online to start a new game of Extraction or Blast.  Have to try in 15-20 mins and even then sometimes it does not happen. In those cases I try a different ping site. Germany often will get me a game, but not always. Remember this game is a couple years old and most like the popular parts of it. Hang in there.   You are not alone.. It will help to make friends and try to join their game.

that's not the problem. Its a legit bug, the people who are experiencing it can't not get into games other than those mentioned. I have not been able to get into strike or extraction for months. try every day.

During the ping site issue, my local Ping site (AUS) was useless. Couldn't get a game at all. Eventually found US Oregon was ok for me and was able to get games in any mode without much fuss. Suffered from a little lag and a few drop outs occasionally but at least could play. EA fixed this issue and the Aus site works perfectly, no lag etc, but only allowed me to play the games that I mentioned in the previous post. I then tried my fallback (US Oregon). Can't get a game in any mode. Remembered EA mentioned in one of their posts on the ping fix that they had added "Default" ping in the options and if you use this and were having difficulty locally, the default option would try and find a game through the next nearest site. Tried it to no effect. Maybe it is a problem with the way matchmaking works?

This light followed every movement I made and was there until I was killed.

OOPS!!! spoke too soon. Was able to get into a game of Starfighter Assault this afternoon for the first time in over a month. Played several games. Funny thing is that all the lobbies in the games I played had 20 players or less (even down to 12 - 7 on one side 5 on the other). I can't figure out why we have so much difficulty getting games if this is what the lobbies are like!!
