Summarize your bug There are still a wide variety of problems when playing in a multiplayer group, regarding matchmaking. We have encountered these problems in Blast, HvV, and Starfighter Assault (can't speak to other modes because we haven't tried). 1. Occasionally one or more players is booted out of the group when the matchmaking occurs. 2. When a player is booted out to the menus, they may be pulled into another game without them selecting anything. 3. When bug 2 happens, the player may end up in a server entirely by themselves or with non-group players. 4. We frequently move from well-populated and well-balanced servers into an empty server where we sit and wait a long time for new players. This is the most frustrating bug of all, because the balanced server we were in is the exact thing the matchmaking should be favoring, but it breaks it up instead.
What is your gamertag/PSN ID/EA Account name? Alliecat7803
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
Can you tell us the date (MM/DD/YYYY) that you saw the bug?
What time did you see the bug? (HH:MM AM/PM)
In what game mode did the bug occur? Starfighter Assault
What is your time zone? PST - GMT - 8:00
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Can you watch the logs of what happens to multiplayer groups during the matchmaking? I'd imagine that's the best place to see it.
What happens when the bug occurs? Not much to add to what I've said.
What do you expect to see? What we would like to see: 1. We do not want to deal with being split up when the map changes. 2. We'd like to see a regular rotation of the maps, as we often end up playing the same maps repeatedly. 3. We want games that are well-populated and well-balanced to be retained from game to game, rather than being broken up. I imagine that this is the whole purpose of the matchmaking, and right now it is doing the opposite of making balanced games. 4. Realistically, we are a little stymied as to why this matchmaking still is not working after months and months of testing. Is it ever going to work? Because right now, it just seems like it has been a colossal waste of time with failure after failure and a lot of frustrated customers. Maybe it is time to abandon it.
