June 18th Times Challenges - defeat 10 enemies around payload

I've played 3 rounds of Extraction and finished the challenge for getting 500 score by escorting the payload just fine. In the process, I know I killed at least a couple enemies near the payload, but nothing has counted towards the "defeat 10 enemies around the payload" challenge. What do you we need to do for it to count?
