Massive Log File In AppData/Local/Electronic Arts/EA Desktop/Logs

I played Star Wars Battlefront II for about 4 hours a few nights ago. Today I was clearing some storage space and found a massive 1gb .log file in my AppData/Local/Electronic Arts/EA Desktop/Logs directory. The file name was IGO_starwarsbattlefrontii_8000.log

Reading the logs, is about 6 million lines and the vast majority of it are just warn level logs

WARN 11:45:33 PM ( 5) 2808 DXGIHook.cpp: 194 DX11 Swapchain 00000000A90FF210 released - mDXGIHookingCtxt.dx12SCInUse=true isDX11Device=1 isDX12Device=0

Booting the game up again and the log file was deleted and replaced with a new log file. After just going to the main screen it is 2.2mb and also has a lot of that same message.

Is there a way to reduce the logging level? I have the game through Steam, so is there a launch option arg I can pass?

  • I don't have that log file and play regularly - directly via EA though.

Perhaps, someone else more familiar with what's going on will respond.
