  • Are you by any chance using Discord? Discord overlay or TeamViewer are known to interfere with mouse and keyboard withing the game.

For Discord overlay go to Discord>user settings > Overlay > Turn OFF.

    It should solve the problem.

Do you have a controller or another device hooked up to the pc? Try unplugging that and completely close Origin via the system's tray and then reopen it and launch the game.

Can you play the game, i.e. do you meet minumin specs?

    Minumum:

CPU: AMD FX-6350 or Intel Core i5 6600K.
    CPU SPEED: Info
    RAM: 8 GB
    OS: 64-bit Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10.
VIDEO CARD: AMD Radeon HD 7850 2GB or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 2GB
    SOUND CARD: Yes
    FREE DISK SPACE: 15 GB
    Recommended :
CPU: AMD FX 8350 Wraith or Intel Core i7 6700 or equivalent
    CPU SPEED: Info
    RAM: 16 GB
OS: 64-bit Windows 10 or later
VIDEO CARD: AMD Radeon RX 480 4GB or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 3GB

Your i5 is slightly below minumin specs. In order to turn down the graphics, to at least get into the game (and I'm not sure how it will run, even if you do get into it). Download gforce experience to your pc. Turn the graphics way down in the gforce experience app (I've done this with a few games that have given me issue) and it will usually allow you to finally be able to get the game running and in the settings of the game to turn it up until the game finally works and runs decently. You might give that a try.

So no controller or gaming wheel? If so, unplug them and restart the game. Sometimes a controller can stop you from using a mouse in a game. It just depends on how it was set up by the developer.
