The emperor NOT shooting lightning through walls Please select your region North AmericaAMD or Nvidia Model Number Playing heroes vs villains on Endor, I’m playing as lando and I’m walking through one of the bridge tunnels as the target hero, palpatine jumps ON TOP of the tunnel and is shooting his lightning directly at me. This also happened through the rock side near the opening of the bridge tunnels. This game has been out for almost three months and I can’t play for more than 30 minutes without getting so furious with the amount of game breaking bugs that I have to put the game down. The ONLY thing this game has going for it right now is the title, if it wasn’t for that this game would be a huge atom bomb on the gaming community

Hello @xeriphin, Let me discuss your problems.1. The bug that allowed the emperor to shoot through walls is solved, he cannot shoot through walls anymore. He didn't get a nerf since launch, he only got a buff after the bug was fixed. The emperor is one of the fastest moving characters when timing his jump and dodge roll correctly. He is therefore hard to hit and can fly high up in the air with his force lightning. He is definitely NOT weak, he can recover massive amounts of health in a short amount of time. In GA, the emperor can be alive for the whole match, getting killstreak up to approx. 70 kills per match. IMO, his movements should be tweaked so he can't escape so quickly.2. Freezing opponents in HvV is just using the abilities. There are freeze/shock abilities on both the light and dark side. These attacks can be blocked (by lightsaber) or dodged by combat roll. I suggest changing your playstyle a bit to adjust to which enemy you are encountering. So if you want to defeat chewie, you don't walk up to him in the upon from the front, but try to outmanouvre him.3.Reys Mind trick is a unique and creative ability that can be very annoying to enemies, but however, does on its own no damage whatsoever. If you are trapped in the mind trick (which you can block and dodge) you should try to move away from Rey for that period of time. Try to dodge, or jump (with palps) to get out of the reach. It requires some practice and doesn't require any tweaks IMO.

Yeah... you know, I am a casual player, and usually, I don't really mind a game being a little buggy or something. Even if it's as buggy as this hot mess that is Battlefront II at the moment, with zero Credits matches, no Credits rewarded for duplicate Star Cards, a large number of rewards that aren't claimable - not only credits, crafting parts and crystals, but unlockable weapons as well (that's really a problem, but for another topic).You know what? Stuff like that can happen, and I have come to accept it.But Palpatine is a whole different story. It is blatantly obvious that his abilities are completely broken. No one in or outside of his right mind would design one specific playable character in a game that can attack through obstacles when every other character - especially in the enemy team - cannot do the same. That just cannot be "working as intended". And the game didn't hit the virtual shelves yesterday. It's out for a while. And the problem is known - at least to every single person who actually tries to play it. And although I am in no way a competetive guy, getting killed over and over and over and over (ad infinitum) again by Palpatine - THROUGH A WALL - sucks every last ounce of fun I might have with this game out of the mix.THIS issue needs to be dealt with. I can imagine re-balancing a whole playable character takes time and effort, but if you can't do it swiftly, just take Palpatine out of the game completely until it is done. Or at least make him inaccessible in Multiplayer. Let the lightning fetishists have their fun in Arcade, if they need it. It just isn't fun for anyone but the donkeycap who plays him. At all.

I have to say I disagree with Palpatine being too weak. He's easily still one of the best Villains in GA and HvV. I'd say for how easy it is to drain his health he needs to be able to move as quickly as he does to keep him balanced and playable otherwise he would just be cannon fodder. On the whole if you use him correctly timing your jumps and dashes he can be very effective.

I think I heard they are planning on fixing this but I'm betting the code is actually pretty complicated. It's not like they initentionally designed him to be able to shoot lightning through walls. (Or did they?) It's a bug on a deep level and changing the inherent qualities, the deep code, to make walls or lightning behave fundamentally different than they are now is probably more difficult than we might think.But not a coder, so idk.

One the one hand I find him one of the easier heroes to take down, though he is tough in the hands of the right person however. On the other hand - he should not be affecting things through walls. I think I saw elsewhere that they were looking to fix the glitches where some walls could be shot through by troopers and didn't want this exploit in the game. Should go for the emperor too.

Hes not one of the easiest heros to kill. Maybe in HvV but in Assault is almost imposible if you inow how to rund and you have Lighting Arbsobtion. Actually attacking Naboo you can just wait on the stairs of the last phase spamming light throught walls without getting shooted by anyone and killing a lot of people. Just being there doing nothing more than attacking.

Truth. I've taken him down several times - but you really do need some space to do it. Defending those doors at the end of Naboo can be impossible with him around. You're just hoping enough allies lob enough 'nades in the right place he goes down..... though, likely who ever had him there has enough points to just respawn as EP again.....

I do not even play anymore because it is so infuriating not being able to claim rewards and dealing with ridiculous bugs like this almost three months after launch. But don’t worry everyone, season 2 is coming soon! (Errr, it’s been about a month since we heard that, right?)

It is quite supprising emperor shoots through walls in swbf2 as this was a constant complaint in swbf1 for over a year. I liked the emperor character but still complained about the shooting through walls,rocks, even floors.

With all the nerf emperor, this has now happend he is now so weak he is usless as a character and should be removed from the game, he is just a easy target. It is a shame as the emperor was a good character for new players.

I have no interest in using emperor in his current weak condition, mine is fully upgraded.

The gameplay in h vs v is ridiculous freezing oppenents so they can be killed without combat, waist of time playing.

Mind trick which makes you fall to death or locks your control so you can be easily killed. Why not just nuke oppenents and not play at all.

This is supposed to be a combat game, I play h vs v because i expect it to be more like tekken or street fighter but in a great playfeild, I am extremely disappointed with all the characters in h vs v, they all fail to provide a enjoyable game.
