New player eh?
Git gud.
- @hhnbbfggty66 Some would say the Officer needs a NERF, an XP nerf to be precise. Also, if you are so worried about getting one-shotted, just use the Improved Battle Command star card.
Hahaha no. No. Dodge and use cover
- @alwe15 That’s what I did. I have about 2 years of experience playing this game (not in literal hours - I started playing in May of 2018).
@hhnbbfggty66 Experience (knowledge of maps) plus unlocking all the star cards and weapon attachments will definitely help you get better.
For the Officer, I suggest focusing on (star cards) Officer’s Presence + Bounty Hunter + Recharge & Improved-Battle Command (these cards will definitely help if you want to get heroes in large-scale game modes). For the weapons and attachments, I would recommend the SE-44C with Rapid Fire and Improved Cooling. Officer is my main trooper class and it’s the best class in the game. You just need to know how to use that class. Giving that class 200 hp would break the game lol.
- @hhnbbfggty66 The officer literally has a card that can give it 100 extra health for a short period of time. If the officer has bad health, then so does the specialist and assault. Just like @thieves1988 I main the officer (in a sense I use it the most, not always using it) and it’s health is fine, you just need to play to the strengths of your cards and weapon: the officer works best as support. Also, don’t be the person that throws the flash grenade ahead of them only to walk into it. It is so infuriating when I see this.
@hhnbbfggty66 I would honestly suggest you start using the Officers grenade and turret.
With the flash grenade you can detonate it as soon as you throw it or wait about 5 seconds and it will go off. This is great when you’re aiming for a crowd of enemies because you can detonate whenever you want and blind literally half the team.
Place the turret on an objective or at a choke point where you know enemies will come from. This works wonders on co op because the AI will literally NEVER fire at a turret. But keep in mind when you die the turret self destructs.
- Generally speaking, when playing as an Officer, I try to rush to a command post and plant my turret just as the enemy forces get there, then immediately roll backwards to get out of their effective range. As soon as any of my teammates arrive, I throw out a grenade and manually detonate it, then hit Recharge Command to buff my allies and refresh my grenade so I can throw it again right away. From there, I drop back and try to give support fire to my teammates, then repeat as my abilities refresh.
Also, your survivability will improve over time with any Trooper class as you level up and unlock the better weapons and mods, and upgrade your Star Cards.
Speaking of Star Cards, I always use Improved Blaster Turret and Recharge Command. If you're still worried about survivability, try using Survivalist (shorter health regen delay) or Bodyguard (damage reduction when critically injured). Worst comes to worst, swap out Recharge Command for Improved Battle Command and you have an AoE health buff that also targets yourself.
