No joystick support? Really?

Battlefront 2. Amazing game.  It has starfighters! The ultimate fantasy for any dyed in the wool flightsim / fighterpilot / dogfighting / starwars fanatic. Yet in 2021 Battlefield 2 has no Joystick...

    If you search the forum, you will see that some have gotten their joystick working; others have not.

    At this point in the game's lifecycle (no updates being released), we've got what we've got.

    If you haven't tried Star Wars Squadrons, you may want to give that a go.

I really do hope that they wil eventualy get the finger out , and fix this, no joystick support is a joke.  This is completely unacceptable any way you look at it . . .  The joystick suport was one of the main reasons the first game was so succesfull, and that the series remained so.      Not allowing the players the use of propper flight peripherals is like selling a car, but the engine and wheels is an optional extra that is not available on this model . . .    Its a complete scam, not to say, as mentioned above, a JOKE . . .

I agree!  Flying by mouse sucks!  After buying many Star Wars games in the past (on CDs granted) they all supported joysticks.  Had I known this game did not support joysticks I would never have bought it.  A flight sim without a joystick?  How lame can you get?
