Not 'playing battlefront on ea app'

Hi, i've been trying to play BattleFront2 (on PC) with my friend lately and we never realy got that to work. My friend doesn't apear online in the battlefront 'friend' window for me, and i dont apear online for him. Therefore, on the ea app, he apears to be playing battlefront but i don't, we think that might be the problem. Also, normally, start battlefront from the ea app, this happens: I click play on the ea app, epic games openes and launches batllefront automatically. However, for some reason, when i click play on the ea app and epic games opens, battlefront doesnt start automatically, we also think this might be the problem because we are friended on ea and I have to start the game on epic games.

One wierd thing though: the other day we tryed to play together and it worked (i could see him onlinem he could see me online, i could invite him...), sadly, we tried to play together again since then and it wasn't working once again.
