"Optimising shader" every time i load a map/main menu | DX12

With a previous patch, the "optimising shader" process was turning up only when I launched the game or a map for the first time. Now even in already processed maps, i have to wait a certain amount of time for the process to be done again partially.

Is this a bug? It is annoying to wait every time, even with an ssd.

Please make optimising shader great again

    Can you let us know if switching your graphics options to DirectX 11 rather than DirectX 12 helps you with this, thanks.

  • I use DX12 because with DX11 i get big stuttering at the start of every game due a bottleneck. It's a problem known since amd driver 17.11.4
    With DX12 i get 60fps stable, but there's this problem with the shaders since the october patch

    Have you had success with DX12 while using a driver earlier than 17.11.4?

  • I would say no. I remember that DX12 at launch was really worse than DX11. Now it is the opposite for me.

    Do you get stuck at the "optimising shaders" screen/message or does it just take some time to process?

  • It just takes some time (faster with an ssd, slower with an hdd obviously). Before, I hadn't to wait for a new shader loading every time i got a map already optimized, or even when i open the game
