It feels like the y-axis input is locked at a continuous down input resulting in a forever floor aiming trooper and a looping starfighter.
Have you fixed the problem? I have exactly the same problem

I have a makeshift solution to my problem now, however this is NOT acceptable from EA as this doesn't happen in any other of my games.
The solution that I have for now is when I get a stuck y-axis using keyboard/mouse I have to QUIT the game then connect my xbox controller to the system and start the game once again, use the controller for a bit and then turn it off as soon as I join a multiplayer session, then my mouse works fine.
However I want to report that if I continue to play with my Xbox One controller or even try switching to it in the middle of the game like I used to before the TLJ update I get a HARD crash and my PC restarts 10-20 seconds into playing with the controller.
Due to this reason I cannot use my XOne controller with this game anymore, I used to switch between mouse/keyboard for the soldiers and XOne controller for starfighters on the fly previously and really enjoyed it but that is just NOT possible anymore without crashing the game.
