Hi, I have a PS4 and a PS5 at home. Both have Battlefront 2 installed. Is there a way that my son and I can play together like the splitscreen modes but on different devices or we have to hope we get logged on the same map?

You're going to need to use two different accounts with two different SWBF2 licenses to play on two different devices.
Yes, you can. Split screen for Arcade mode. "Friends" feature for other modes.
Google "how to invite friends battlefront 2" and you will see multiple videos/articles on how to do this.

Thanks for the reply. However - I have two consoles one ps4 one ps5 both are on the same account in PS Live. Both use also different Screen as are in separate rooms.
so split screen is not what i would want to do if i can play on separate screen. Invite Friends seems also not correct as i would invite myself?
also currently i get logged out from one device when starting the game on the other console...
