Have tried Lunchtime and evenings, have consistently had the problem since I got the game in december. Two other friends have the same problem..

South Africa. I can't change it, the game refuses to save the setting. After matchmaking it reverts.

This has recently started happening in Australia as well when trying to play galactic assault on PS4. Load into near empty lobby, leave and rejoin, load into another lobby with a couple of players. All these half empty lobbies could make up full lobbies and people would be able to play.

Evenings during week and whole of weekends. Since beginning, but more after recent patches especially patch 1.2.

This is been way worse now after patch 1.2

I contacted EA a month after it was launched before I bought the game to ensure that there are South African servers as I don't want to waste my money!

Looks like I have wasted my money! Can I get a refund or compensation of some kind? a thousand bucks is a lot of money especially if you cant use the product as intended after a few short months. :<

Hi, did you manage to get a solution to this major problem?

Me and the wife have been playing online from the "free" weekend in Feb. I managed to buy Gold Live to keep playing online for 6 months.

One problem though, we haven't managed to play once on the South African server (ping ranging from approx 37 to 56).

I tried GA, Strike, Star fighter. I get to a lobby and it will tel me there is 19 players waiting, will leave it for half hour or so, will change to 17 needed and then back to 19.

We thought it was normal, but after spending the better half of Friday night and Saturday morning staring at the same screen, in anticipation, nothing.

I then tried the German and Virginia sites with pings of approx 230 to 300. We manage to play, but we find our-self's shooting at jumping targets!

We love the game, we spend money on a feature of the game that is not functioning as advertised, we further spend money on Gold that we cannot utilize up to expectations?

Which brings me back to my original question? is anybody having joy on the South African server?

Mods haven't replied since early January. I wouldn't hold my breath. I don't think they care much about the empty servers anyway.

I just bought the game, and I have not being able to play any multiplayer match in two days! no players at all!

Is it because they got rid of what would have made ea alot more money that you guys dont care about fixing this game and helping the people who want to play it to get a game? You haven't replied to people in 6 months, what kind of help is that?

I first had this problem last week . 26/07/2018. 

I started with the ping site problem and with this problem at 4 am. I solved the ping site problem but now i still cant find a populated lobby. I am in Portugal, i play in united kingdom pin site (38ms). I have been playing sincr launch and until last week i could always find a populated server for any game mode. But now i can hardly find a populated server. Its always just me. If i wait  3 or 4 people join in but then they leave. I just want to play the game i bought and i have invested so much time in the game... 

Since last week i can only play if a friend of mine invites me to group and if he is the one to search for a game. 

Today for the first time i was able to play by myself by waiting 45 minutes for an empty room to fill up... 

same * boring now, I’ve asked for answers after answers nothing from ea or dice Joke on star wars this is just saying need another company to make battlefront 3

australia, but at first was just on default 

@XxRED8xX- I am also Australia region on XB1. I have no problems getting games in GA or HvsV but cannot in any other mode on the Aus Ping site. When I want to play the smaller modes I change my ping to US Virginia and have no problems getting a game. I get the message re "slow internet connection......." but have only had minimal lag on very few occasions. If Virginia doesn't work for you, try US Oregon.
