With @DYSPROssium - For better and for worse the cooling/heating add-ons to weapons don't seem to be doing anything.

Personally I use the DC15LE all the time with the purple reload mod (I actually pulled the epic tier from a crate and just went with it) when you do the mini game - with the epic star card - you can basically turn your regular gun into the Sentry - except you can have the shield up too.

But yeah, the cooling add-ons don't seem to be giving extra shots. I'm not noticing the auto-cooling on the FWM working either - unless I read the descriptor wrong....

There is already a post on that very subject, several in fact. All attachments that affect cooling are not functioning properly

I didn't investigate this completely, but it seems to me that before the patch, when you had the explosion shot equipped, your weapon will have an increase in heat buildup so you can't shoot the explosion shot as long as the regular blaster bullets.
What happened with the patch is that these increase/decreases in heat buildup seem to be bugged. For some other weapons, the cooling is decreased, resulting in an unintended nerf, while in some other cases (as with the DC15-LE) they received an unwanted buff.
Therefore, they will not NERF the weapon, but if they fix the bug, you will experience it now as a nerf, since you cannot shoot as long as you were used. The DC15-LE was a great, balanced, weapon before the patch and hope it will be fixed so it will be that version again.
