On PS4; literally sent to empty lobbies all day today.
The cloud sync issue is likely from the recent Origin update. That's when the cloud sync problems started for me.
The inability to find a match seems to be a dirty secret that we can't get much feedback on. It's a result of the 3 attempts at failed matchmaking improvements. Threads started from Thursday July 5th until now on this topic in the general discussion section of the forums:

Some threads were consolidated by moderators as well so the number of threads started were larger. This was just a quick look. Plus this thread and others. You won't likely get an answer until they issue another patch. Hope this provides you with a better picture of the problem. Sadly it can't fix the problem. All platforms have been effected.

For the 1066 issue, looks to be connected to the ping site issue and something we are looking in to. We made some progress on the ping site issue, but no ETA for the moment.

TickleBuddy, that's good info. I know there have been issues similar to this when matchmaking improvements were being tested, so it wouldn't be surprising if that is part of the problem again.
Atic, thanks for the response. It's too bad there is no ETA on a fix but at least there is official acknowledgment that there is a problem.
Thank you. I've posted this up in a couple of threads as the users posting thread after thread on this topic-a game breaking bug if you can't play the game-has received little attention and threads keep getting started. I just don't want anyone to feel as though this problem is one that they can fix or that it's data corruption on their HDD/SSD. Uninstall/re-install just wastes your time. I've heard many have tried this to solve the "can't find a game in any game mode issue" Repair installations don't work either. It isn't you or your system. It's another bug.
People want to play. They simply can't. That's a top of the list bug if I've ever seen one. At least in this section of the forum the devs can be made aware.
Silence on this topic is becoming impossible. Keep your heads buried in the sand and others will help bury it further. Here's one example of what others are experiencing, reporting, and passing on to this community and any potential future players to see.

Star Wars Battlefront II was one of the most hyped up video games of 2017. When EA announced the game it just seemed too good to be true. They announced that the game is going to get content from every time in the Star Wars saga. It seemed way too good to be true, no season pass, content from every Star Wars movie, good graphics, a bunch of online game modes, and the most hyped up part a single-player story. Star Wars Battlefront 2015 didn’t feature a story mode and unlike Battlefront II it had paid DLC. Gamers were really happy until the beta. Although the paid to win content in Battlefront II is now gone it made gamers hate on the game a lot and that’s why it’s a flop. Star Wars Battlefront II has been losing players since it came out and now its pretty much impossible to play a match of Battlefront II.
Today I jumped on the game and wanted to compete with other players in online mode. It took the game 10 minutes to load into a lobby and the lobby wasn’t even full. There were only 18 players in that lobby. It almost took me 40 minutes to find a lobby that had more than 30 players. The campaign isn’t very long so I would say that the game is pretty much dead.
With no one online anymore and a somewhat fun campaign mode that is short Battlefront II is barley worth $30. Although EA does release new content for the game, what’s the point? No one is playing it and the new content are for multiplayer. On the PC side of things Star Wars Battlefront II is defiantly dead."
