No I dont mean unlocking the hero! I mean when you already have the hero and you go into a game of assault for example, and you are forced to play as a trooper until you get enough battle points to start playing as the hero. I dont like that, I want to play as the hero as soon as possible, so im asking if it takes long to be able to switch from trooper to hero? Like on average, if you play the objective and you are good enough?
I honestly rarely ever do. And, if and when I do either
A) The hero's/villains are all taken up by the other more skilled players (which really ticks me off)
B) The match is almost over and I barely get any time to enjoy being one
C) The match is actually ending right when I pick one
D) I get killed right off the bat by 6 people shooting me at once.
So, I honestly never get to be one. The last time was days ago, and only for about 2 min before 6 people and a vehicle shot me to death right off the bat. So, honestly, I don't even waste my time anymore even trying to be one. I have given up, until they allow us to play the full multiplayer game offline against bots.

You do kind of have to "go off" to get into a hero unless the match is close and lasts a while, in which case you may get into one towards the end of the round assuming those ahead of you on the leader board either don't go for a hero or die with theirs.
Most new players don't know the strategies that earn BP quickly and hence don't get into the heroes.
Many times if the defense does a good job of defending, no heroes will be played in the match.
Typically, the top players on a team will have a hero by the end of the first stage of a galactic assault.
I would say that honestly the easiest way to get into a hero is to play a heavy with explosive sentry and use it on the MTT or AT-AT when the ion cannons are used on them.
