Admittedly, if support wasn’t cut, we probably would have gotten a better Infitrator. This is just a copy-paste from Ewok Hunt.
- @Wickett42 No, no, he's got a point
Bothan would have been cooler...and a shadow trooper instead of ISB, that's just my opinion... ISB Agent
Summary: This is literally a stereotype of the Infiltrator class that is cosplaying Magneto.
They are pretty good, but they can’t really do anything really well. Sniping with power blast doesn’t work well. Their gun has bad DPS for dual wielding. Their melee looks cool and is fast, but doesn’t really grant anything other than that you’re less likely to be shot. They have the ability to support heroes incredibly well, but that the only talent they have.Abilities:
Pistols: The agent utilizes two RK pistols. They aren’t very good guns, but the Imperial Security Bureau employee makes them better. The guns have a power shot that is activated by zooming, but it is weaker than the ARC trooper, and doesn’t home in. They have a slow rate of fire, and low damage.
Melee: This is probably the fanciest melee in the game. The agent kicks the the enemy with a complex and fast series of knee jabs. It has one special perk in that you get HP back for killing guys with it, but it has a lot of endlag that makes you vulnerable at the end.
Assault Training: The agent gains a speed boost and damage reduction. It helps keeping up with those people who run ahead with Vanguard, as well as reaching the objective quickly. Other than that, it doesn’t help a lot.
Scan: This is a copy-paste of the Sith Trooper’s ability. Enemies are scanned, revealing them in red. The number of enemies scanned is increased by killing enemies. It’s not very special.
Battle Command: This is the single best healing ability in the game. It regenerates all of the health of the allies nearby very quickly, including heroes. There is nothing better than seeing an ISB agent as a low health hero. I had some downsides, though. It needs a nearby ally to activate, so when you are alone, it can’t help.
Also, as a regeneration ability and not a bonus health ability, squishy infantry troops aren’t really helped by it. However, it is really good.Final Verdict: The ISB agent struggles with mediocrity, but with one insanely good ability when working with a hero, they are very good. They fill a niche with their melee, it’s not that different than any other infiltrator. However, the one problem I have is that, despite being so average, they outclass the Ewok so much that it doesn’t really matter how bad they are.
Okay, final deduction. They are a lower tier unit that has one very good ability, and they are best used in the final round of a mode with heroes. So they aren’t the best by a long shot, but are better than the worst(I’m looking at you, Ewok). The weirdest thing about them, thought, is that I can’t stop thinking they are cosplaying Magneto.
- @Commander_Ney0 Oh my god, the ISB agent really is cosplaying as Magneto.
Sith Trooper
Summary: The Sith Trooper, despite its terrifying name, is pretty average overall. They don’t camouflage well or even have dark clothes to blend in, so stealth is kind of off the table. In fact, they actually are a lot like a better ISB agent.
You’ll see soon.
Abilities:
Blaster: This is a mini gun that functions like an accurate version of the sub machine gun the assault has. It is pretty accurate, and has excellent cooling. It is just a tad unreliable with range, but it can take out enemies pretty quick.
It has a power blast function that can OHK infantry below 150. This power blast, much like the ARC, has homing qualities, but as the Sequels don’t have many long range maps, you aren’t likely to encounter that sort of situation.Melee: An average melee. Average speed, average damage. Though when you melee while sprinting, it opens up into an insane-looking kick.
Right Ability(forgot name): This boosts speed to Vanguard levels like the ISB agent’s right ability, but instead of damage reduction, you get health on kill. Nothing special, but it’s not a bad ability.
Scanner: This is a copy of the ISB intern’s middle ability. Start by scanning four enemies, and that increases with each kill. This also has a bonus of telling which class the marked enemy is.
Suppression Grenade: This is a pretty good grenade. It has the same area of effect as the thermal detonator on the assault and stops enemies from healing for ten seconds after being damaged. However, it only does 80 damage.
Final Verdict: The Sith Trooper, despite its class as an infiltrator, doesn’t fit in as one. They are more designed for aggressive attacking, pushing the enemy to their limits with speed and strength.
However, when defending, they can’t provide a lot of support. Also, their red armor makes them bright targets on generally dull maps, which doesn’t help a lot in general.
Finally, I would place them as an upper middle tier character, that while being slightly less situational than the Caphex, is still really good.Whew, that was a lot of work. For the entire thread. Not just the Sith Trooper.
I’ll leave you fellas with this statement: I wish that Emperor Palpatine got emotes for both I “am the Senate” and “Did you ever hear the tragedy of Darth Plaugus the Wise?”
