- Reduced the duration of the choking during Anakin's Retribution ability from 4 to 2 seconds.
- Anakin's Retribution does not charge up based on damage received during Heroic Might.
- Heroic Might no longer deals increased damage as Anakin takes damage. The ability’s radius still increases as Anakin takes damage.
- Increased base damage of Heroic Might from 70 to 90 against heroes.
Darth Maul:
- Darth Maul now throws his lightsaber horizontally instead of vertically, creating a much wider hit-box for his attack.
Game Modes
Reduced the minimum number of players required to start the following game modes
- Heroes Vs. Villains from 8 to 6
All Other Improvements
- The mini-map in Heroes vs Villains will now work similarly to Hero Showdown and will not constantly show all players on screen
I'm pretty psyched about most of these changes, particularly the maul saber throw.
I suspected DICE might change up the HVV mini-map, as it was making things just too easy. Glad to see it was done so quickly.
Speaking of HVV...
I'm not convinced changing entry from 8 to 6 is a good idea. As anyone who has played HVV for a decent amount of time can tell you, a 4 vs 3 match is radically different than a 4 vs 4 match. It's a 25% reduction in team size! I would have preferred a mechanism that either doesn't allow people to quit mid-game or penalizes them for quitting mid-game (e.g. no points for time in match or cannot re-enter for 10 minutes).
Again, let's be careful how much we nerf Anakin. He was meant to bring balance to the force and was the character in HVV that finally made the heroes as powerful as the villains.
All-in-all... looks like a great update.
