Re: Language error message - being marked as spam in the forum

Hey @bl00print when this issue occurs the steps I shared above generally fix it. If they do not then you will need to speak with our live support team as we are not able to assist with any account related issues on AHQ.

The only other thing I can recommend is to create a new Windows admin account, ensuring that you set the language to that which you purchased the game in and then try to install and launch the game again. You can also, on this account, try running the game in compatibility mode to see if it helps.


If this does not help then you will need to speak with our live support.

  • Just for sanity's sake, once more, this has also been mentioned at the very first post as one of the solutions that has been suggested to me but unfortunately doesn't work.

    Hey @bl00print I would recommend speaking with them again and explaining the situation. 

    If the steps I shared above did not help then there is nothing further that we can do on AHQ to assist. The only team who may be able to assist further is our live support team.

  • My god I don't know how you live with yourselves. You directed me to a line that charges 0.5/minute that your service doesn't let the caller know about it only for them to be playing the telephone game, where the rep didn't know how to fix the issue and was talking to your expert specialist that after he suggested all the same steps that you did, in order to get rid of me he said that I need to do a UOTRACE test, which has nothing to do with the language issue. A solution that apparently I could only receive through email and only after we hang up. What a scam.

    Hey @bl00print if you are being charged when our live support calls you then this would be a charge that your phone provider has added. You can select live chat which is done in browser if you would prefer.

    If a specialist has asked for additional info then I would recommend providing that info.

  • @EA_Darko you seem to be replying by twisting words just so that you can say that it's not EA's fault.

    So it's not EA's fault that the game doesn't work or how I have talked to numerous "experts" on your end and there has not been a single solution provided that actually resolves the issue.

    How EA's premium charge rate phone numbers are my phone provider's fault and not EA's for not letting the caller know so that they can hang up and never deal with you again.

    How your colleagues are telling people that they need to hang up first before they can give them the solution.

    But you suggest that I give them the dxdiag or msinfo, for the 7th time, or the log of a ping test when my issue has nothing to do with connectivity.

    I used to think that people were being extreme when they were saying not to deal with EA and their games, but I never knew that you were so bad at dealing with customers and that you were selling products that might or might not work which you also don't replace or refund.

    Hey @bl00print did you call our support direct or did they call you? If you set up a callback using the steps I shared above then it should not cost you, if it does cost you to receive a call then this is something your network provider is charging.

    If a specialist has requested info from you then I would recommend that you provide them with any and all info requested.

  • I am only coming back to this to help anyone facing the same issue that gave up on the forum and technical experts "solutions"

    A quick note about the call @EA_Darko , you don't seem to have an option to call back anyone who is outside of US.

    So here is the solution,

    IGNORE every forum/technical expert "solution" of basically reaching the point of taking your whole PC apart just to make a game work,

    it is the launcher causing the issue not your PC.

    Download the EA Desktop Beta application, after 2 months of going back and forth with EA customer support and pretty much getting replies like

    "get an IT specialist to fix the issue with your PC", or "we can only send you the solution after you hung up/close this live chat" I can confirm that

    the game launches just fine in the new launcher.
