It's on the video settings screen.
Maybe this will help -> https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues/DirectX-12-option-missing/td-p/6592346
If must have been the video driver, but I had a heck of a time getting everything set right so I didn't crash to a red screen whenever I entered a match.
My video card is a Sapphire Radeon Nitro+ RX 580 4GB.
Here is what I did to fix my issue:
- Did an uninstall of the video driver.
- Ran the amdcleanuputility.exe from the AMD site. "https://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/AMD-Clean-Uninstall-Utility.aspx"
- Instead of downloading the graphic driver from AMD, I downloaded the most recent driver for my card from the Sapphire site.
- Installed the graphics driver. NOTE: I did not install the "Relive" portion. (I don't know if that would have effected the outcome or not.)
Now I can play SWBF2 without it crashing.
Hope this helps someone else.
