Lack of control ingame? No mouse cursor? This smells like the Gaming Overlay BUG.

Some gaming overlays mess up with Star Wars Battlefront II, most notorious is the Discord Gaming Overlay. If you use it I suggest disabling it before launching the game. If that doesn't work or isn't your case, I suggest disabling Origin ingame, as it's also a gaming overlay that causes issues. If none work or are your case, then maybe you have another gaming overlay you use that may be causing this issue.
