Re: Starwars Battlefront 2 Hackers

Iv had my first undeniable sign of hacking today, the player went ended the game with 300kills each side without using the heroes once, I and several players on both sides reported him, but the fact I had to use Overlay rather than just kicking on his name means anyone not running overlay might not have this option, I love the game but hacking just sucks all the joy from playing no matter the side your on, I record videos for fun and have a recording of him one shooting me and his scores from both rounds but I don't know if it will even help solve the hacking issue.

  • I block cheats on Origin so they don't add me, I hate those people.

So I would like to ask you (EA) that at least if you are not going to solve this problem with cheats, don't put us in multiplayer games with the people we have blocked on our account.

I have informed so many people in the 2 years that I have the game and they have never been banned, and what gives more courage is that you have to play with them and when you want to report them for cheating ... oh surprise! He had already denounced them.

In short, it is a never ending game as providers of this game's online services, what a shame you are.

I'll call them cheaters not hackers because I doubt most of them know a thing about hacking. Anyway SWBF2 PC is rife with them, although idiots say its lag, they are just excellent players blah blah blah, when we all know they are cheating. I personally blame DICE for basically not giving a stuff about cheaters. They have no anticheat software on their servers and when a cheater is reported nothing happens to them, they can still play the game. So if I think they are cheating or see someone I know is a cheater, I just leave the server. I try to play COOP most because I can concentrate on my game and not worry about cheaters, as for the rest of the modes, well because no one knows if the other players are cheating then you can't really take any leaderboards seriously.

If DICE cared about its online player base it would have had private servers and anticheat software, but they don't care. This is one of the reason why I hope they do not get to make any more Star Wars games, they are a useless developer IMO. I mean they had a triple A game budget and it took them 3 years of updates to turn it into a triple A game. The inital release was terrible, and even now the game has so many bugs and is lacking so many things that would make it so much better.

In my opinion, the answer is local gms who regularly play and can insta-ban people. In the old days when we hosted online games on club servers, we policed the games running on our servers and complaints were addressed immediately with warnings on bans for a half hour or longer.

  • Totally.  I've always thought they should have some community players who can spectate voted hackers and suspend/ ban them.

The problem is you could have some corrupt community managers.  Still, I'd take my chances with them rather than the incessant hacks this game and BF2015 has.
