I am playing on XBox One. I’m not great with tech stuff so I’m not exactly sure how to know what my connection would be. My modem is plugged into the wall if that helps 😂

That could be part of your problem. Always use a wired connection if possible. You can get an ethernet cable from Walmart and run it straight from your router to your xbox. That being said... I have a very fast wired internet connection and I have also been experiencing lag over the last couple weeks or so. Pretty much since the Scarrif update.

As @Flagonslayer said, using an ethernet cord is the best way to get a stable connection. Especially if you're far from the router. That's going to have a really negative impact on your connection so a wire is best.

Have you power cycled your modem, router and console since this started happening? If so, try clearing your alternate MAC address with these steps:
Go to your Xbox One Settings (Just press Start, then click Settings)
Go to "Network", then "Advanced Network Settings"
Click on "Alternate MAC Address", and then click "Clear"Let me know what happens. Thanks!
I am not exactly sure what a power cycle is. Is it the clearing the MAC address that you just described? If not, would you be able to explain how this works as it may be a solution.

You can power cycle your equipment with the following steps: unplug your modem, router and console. After 2 minutes plug in the modem and router. Let them come back online completely. Then plug in your console and start it up. This is different than clearing the alternate MAC address. Both should be tried.
I have tried both of these possible solutions and both yielded zero results. I am beginning to think that playing Battlefront 2 going forward will be impossible as it seems I am running out of solutions. The strange thing is that this had just begun happening last week when I have been playing the game since a few months after launch in early 2018. Switching to a wired connection will unfortunately not be possible in my house as I am not the homeowner. Is there anything else I could possibly try?

That's probably the issue then. Wireless is unreliable and prone to disconnects/lag. Especially when the signal has to travel through walls and/or floors. This gets worse when there are other devices sharing the same connection. It's worse still when anyone is streaming media while you're playing. Until you get wired, or at a minimum, closer to the router, this will continue to happen. You can try changing the wireless channel you're using. That may help. Also, you could try opening the ports for Battlefront 2. They are listed here: https://help.ea.com/en/help/faq/opening-tcp-or-udp-ports-for-connection-issues/. You can get some help with this at www.portforward.com.
Something else that has worked for many is to get a Powerline adapter. It's possible that could be a good solution.
