@Bagginses2Flanking, maybe? Attacking people that are busy fighing your team mates? Harassing fleeing targets?
Especially with the extended range card, most people will not pay enough attention to what's going on at that distance and you can catch them by surprise. Then again with that dmg output and stun function, it opens the door for following up attacks.
Every noob will soon find out that this ability can't hurt anyone if his opponent holds block as saber user and if he's halfway smart he'll look to find other ways to turn this ability into an advantage.
Do you think I use that ability against someone who's looking at me, expecting the fight and holding block all the time already?

@Bagginses2What do you mean exactly, you can hear him? Footsteps? Animation start? Because this working so much to your advantage sounds somewhat hard to believe, at least when someone uses it from farther away.
Because it appears like it only really works perfectly when you're sure that you're even the target and can afford to make a 90/180 degree turn in front of your initial opponent because he might won't do something at this moment.I've never witnessed someone dodging or blocking my thrust surge when flanking from out of their FoV before, noobs and pros alike. Except of when I was so close already that they were aware of my near presence maybe.
- 5 years ago@TRlALON you can hear a "woosh" when it starts from quite far away and if you roll about half a second after you hear that you will dodge the attack.

@PewPewYourePewDafuq? So is either one's connection too bad (I guess mine again -.-) to time this properly for someone or to react at all? Because really, flanking is mostly just fool-proof for me.
- 5 years ago@TRlALON Voice lines, footsteps, I’m pretty sure thrust surge makes a noise before it starts as well. I’ve witnessed plenty of people dodging thrust surge when it wasn’t in their fov. This whole conversation proves that thrust surge is a situational ability anyways, and situational abilities aren’t that good. Also like I said before if you are in a 2v1 against grievous and one of his allies you probably won’t survive anyways.

It may have actually ended up more interesting if the original Anakin had remained and that way he and Grevious could balance each other in HvV. Chaotic neutral.
