Hawxthy, this isn't a BF2 issue, Alt+Space is a WINDOWS hotkey to open the dialog box for the currently active window. If you are playing any game in windowed mode you are going to run into this issue if you use any combination of Alt or Space as a hotkey. There is nothing the developers are going to do to the game that nullifies a system hotkey and fix this for you. This issue is similar to pressing SHIFT too many times and activating windows "Sticky Keys".
You essentially have four options here:
- Don't play in windowed mode
- Rebind your Jump/Roll keys away from Alt or Space. I'd keep Space but rebind Alt somewhere else
- Use an AHK script to rebind your Left Alt to something else at the system level, outside the game. This way you can still use Alt and Space at the same time, but Alt will in reality be triggering another key
- Use a macro keyboard (like G15, etc) to rebind Alt to some other key (like solution 3 above, but without scripting)
There is nothing Dice/EA is going to do to fix this for you. It's not an game issue, this is Windows taking control of hotkeys from the game.
This is wrong Kornstalx, because I played Battlefront (2015) and I had not this problem. You can ask in the program for key inputs and disable certain commands like they did in Battlefront (2015). Also this is the first game I have this issue with. Moreover, it's not similar to pressing SHIFT too many times. This was disabled in the game and I play every game in window mode and I checked other games Skyrim, Tom Raider and Battlefront (2015). None of these games have this issue. Consequently it's possible to disable it in game.
