I’m currently looking at a rig with these specs - i5-10400F 1650 Super 8GB RAM (looking to upgrade to 16GB) This rig can definitely run Battlefront at 1080p, 60fps, but I’m curious - PC players...
@Player55Thank you 🙂
@FearfulWarpIII used a Windows 7 laptop for BF II right before I got my new desktop PC. I purchased this one back in 2013 from the same website.
It had the Nvidia 740M graphics card and 8 GB RAM if I remember correctly.
The biggest problem generally was just that laptops quickly reach their limit when using external monitors with any higher resolution.
Well, not that I liked playing BF II at low to mid graphics very much, it was just last year when I started to play BF II regularly as well. Before I played only older titles.
I started played with the thought of getting an upgrade. Shortly after, my laptop helped me with that decision by sending it's graphic drivers (I guess) permanently to Oblivion, making it impossible for me to execute any greater programs anymore without causing emergency shutdowns after a few doots.
It's impressive what a steep upgrade one can receive by just waiting it out until better specs are getting cheaper over years.
Also this time I invested more into hard drive space, games nowadays just don't want to go with less than like 90 GB while external hard drives are just generally unreliable and unforgiving if you make a mistake.
Nice topic! @FearfulWarpII
What I'm currently running:
I have had this setup for 4 years at this stage looking to upgrade as soon as there is stock.
