I'm having a nightmare here, a friend who pre-ordered the game about 5 months ago, maybe more, sent me his "Friend" code for Xbox One, tried redeeming it on the Xbox and it keeps saying check instructions, you might need to redeem it on a different web page, any ideas?

That is likely the id ref which is essentially a proof of purchase
Same issue here redeemed code now it’s telling me I don’t own the game what’s going on seems like EA have messed this up- They better extend the damn days if they having issues like this!
