Whilst many may not be happy with doing progression again, it will provide a clean slate - not askew the community by having lots of people with an unfair advantage.
Did you all pick up on the new unlock system? The way its written, EA is deciding for us what cards we can even unlock at first... Not everything is available at first or even as you progress. That's ridiculous. Everyone crying about earning credits just got a restricted, controlled narrow minded game to play instead of being free to branch out and improve what you see fit. Have fun with that. Glad I already turned most of my gaming attention to other games due to this game crashing and being bugged beyond toleration since launch.

This is a statement of facts:
Duplicate credits began with the first update on November 17th 2017 for hundreds, if not thousands of players. The reporting of duplicate credit issue was first alerted in the forum ANSWERS HQ ASK. ANSWER. LEVEL UP. on December 4th 2017 with nearly the most abundant replies Duplicates Still DONT give back CREDITS!!!
With several public posts, CM's have stated the same thing over and over since January 25th 2018"Hello everyone. I know this issue is frustrating, and I'm sorry that I haven't had any updates for you for a while.
We still don't have an ETA for a fix, but it's worth noting that we have a confirmation that missing credits will be granted retroactively once the issue is fixed.
While the issue is still present, this should at least give some peace of mind for those who have opened crates, and should give more freedom to those hoarding crates.
EDIT: While this is currently marked as "Solved" we absolutely do not consider this to be resolved, and this post is highlighted to make sure folks see that they'll get their credits back.
Thank you again.
March 12th 2018, one week ago today, another CM reported:Hi everyone!
Again, I'd like to apologise for the lack of updates regarding this issue. Just like EA_David has mentioned, we don't have ETA for the fix, but DICE confirmed that missing credits will be granted retroactively once the issue is fixed.
We will update this thread, once we get any news from the studio.
Thank you for your patience.
I personally requested this information made public, because it was not traceable, as per EA ethical responsibility of transparency. I was rebuffed, and was provided this information in the public forum.@mysweetescape13 Hello, we have access to information that hasn't been released through other channels. As you can imagine this issue has garnered much discussion internally, and as soon as we were able to confirm that coins would be granted retroactively, I made the previous statement.
Also, in the patch notes for 1.2 the duplicate issue is mentioned, and that the credits will be retroactively granted. Unfortunately this fix clearly didn't work for everyone, but once it's resolved for everyone the same retroactive credit grant should apply.
Thus with the statement provided, CM's have access to information that was not released but yet promised credits would be granted retroactively. And based on the facts that "they" knew that this fix, would not be provided before the new progression was to take place.
Here is a list of what happens in two days:
Q.) How should I prepare for the Spring Progression Update?
A.) It depends on what you'd rather do: speed up progression or save up for cosmetics. If you want to maximize your Unit Levels at the outset of the new system, you should primarily focus on earning more Star Cards and Parts right now by using your Credits to purchase Crates. If you want to unlock new Appearances, you should save your Credits for the update in April.
Q.) Can I buy Star Cards with money?
A.) No. We are removing all Star Cards from Crates and introducing a system where you level up your units exclusively by playing as them and earning experience.Q.) What happened to the daily login Crates?
A.) Since Star Cards are now available through progression, we have set the Daily Login reward to 500 Credits.
Q.) Are Crates still in the game?
A.) Yes, however, with the Progression Update, Crates can no longer be purchased. They are earned by logging in daily, completing Milestones, and through Timed Challenges. Inside crates, you'll find Credits or cosmetic items, but nothing that impacts gameplay.
Q.) What will happen with the Milestones that currently reward Star Cards?
A.) The rewards for these Milestones will change from Star Cards to Credits and Cosmetics, such as Emotes and Victory poses.
Q.) Will I still use Credits to unlock Heroes and Hero Starfighters?
A.) With our Progression Update, we will be unlocking all currently available heroes and Hero ships for all Players. When new heroes and Hero ships are introduced to the game they will be unlocked with Credits.
Q.) What can Credits be used for?
A.) In April, the next part of our progression update will allow you to use your Credits to unlock Appearances for your heroes and troopers. With this specific update, you will not be unlocking anything with your Credits, so we encourage players earning Credits to continue to do so and save them for all the customizations coming out in April.
Q.) What is the difference between Credits, Crystals, and Parts?
A.) With our Progression Update, we are temporarily turning off the economies related to these three currencies. With an update in April, Credits (which are earned through gameplay) will unlock Appearances for your heroes and troopers. That update will also allow you to purchase Crystals, which can also be used to unlock Appearances through direct monetary purchase. Parts are going to be taken out of the game entirely, and a future update will allow you to convert these into Skill Points.
So the 234K of credits not provided by the game, can buy what "Appearances" in April. Yea.
I am so glad that I didn't demand a refund at day one,
Instead, I and others such as myself wasting 119 days of playing this ridiculous glitched, bugged, exploitive game provided by the company. Thank you so very much.
And thank you resolving all these issues since day one, delivering a non working game while secretly working for the past whatever amount of days on an entirely new system. Hip Hip Hurray.
