Suddenly unplayable. Jumpy as hell in Arcade

I have been playing BF2 since the date of release. I have been experiencing the infamous rubberbanding and lag. But since a yesterday I experience the following, even in Arcade mode. The screen starts to jump around wildly when I touch the mouse. It is completely unplayable like this. Does anyone else experience this behaviour. I have even reinstalled the whole game and ran the repair option to no avail.
Just for securities sake I tried running Battlefield 1 to see if it is hardware related, but it works just fine
