Supercharged Sentry being reflected now?

Just had Rey reflect my supercharged sentry. I messaged the player who thought he was a goner for sure as I had him dead to rights, instead he reflected it all back or to the sides and took virtually no damage. Was this an intended change? It's not in the patch notes that I've seen and it severely weakens this ability that already had draw backs on it. That's a substantial nerf to not mention it, and a huge buff. If you're going to reflect the bolt, at least take the explosive damage which isn't much, you can reflect them back and kill the heavy, but the heavy still got credit for damage dealt.

  • Plz Quit defending an ability that is so overpowered versus heroes... Supercharged sentry was dropping heroes left and right... Heavy class needs 3 saber attacks to die which is already too much... and the reduced mobility in sentry mode is NOT an issue since its accuracy is absurd... Quit whining about op abilities... You are clearly an abuser mate...

I think this is a healthy balance change, if it is in fact true. They definitely should have made comments in the patch notes though.

You should still be able to shoot at a hero's feet since they can't reflect the explosion. And of course they can only block fire coming in from the front and can only block if they have stamina.

It's only op versus heroes if your caught in a corner or dumb enough to stand still for 10 seconds for it to kill you. As a force user you have a larger range of mobility than anyone in the game, getting away from sentry is easy. Heck, I escape it as a trooper, if you can't as a hero, you need practice.

Of COURSE it should have been in the notes, I already said that. If it's a bug, which is possible since it ISN'T in the notes, than it needs to be brought to attention. Please, quit trying to troll my posts.

I don't disagree. Good force users can play around sentry pretty easily in most situations in order to survive.

There are situations where it would be strategic to be able to block oncoming fire for your team though. Capturing objectives and leading the way for your team in narrow hallways like the last objective on Kamino come to mind.

Sentry's ability and especially super charged and explosive sentry's ability to choke choke points is pretty extreme. A little more counter play available in the game wouldn't hurt, which is why I say it is health for the game play.

It also helps players who aren't that experienced have a little better experience with heroes. Not being able to block one certain type of blast fire when you can block the rest is un-intuitive and I can understand the rage.
