SW BF2 will not launch, missing settings files and folders

My game will not launch. The launch window pops up quickly and there is no sign of it in task mgr. I have done a repair install....and there are no SW BF2 files or folders in my Documents folder. No...

    Also had a issue starting the game.

    Closes directly to the desktop. No sign in the taskmanager of the program.

    Done a repair in Origin but no solution.

    Looked in the forums and saw a tip to first remove the .exe files in the game directory.

    starwarsbattlefrontii.exe  and if it exists starwarsbattlefrontii_trial.exe

    (back up the files to be secured)

    After removing the .exe files do a repair in Origin and try again.

    This fixed it for me.
