SWBF2 crashing to desktop no errors with CHG90 Samsung Monitor

I tried to do a topic on this and the moderator from EA ghosted on me, so I am going to try again. I have an issue where SWBF2 just crashes on me to desktop no errors, no nothing just as the game tries to load on my CHG90 Samsung super Ultra wide. Everything is fine up until the level loads, this goes for every single match, even single player campaign. NO HDR, HDR, etc nothing seems to effect it. I have the latest nvidia drivers for my 1080Ti. What gives? is there a error log that gets dumped to my pc whenever it crashes if so where is it so I can get it to an EA rep/employee and look to see what the issue might be. Also I have up to date firmware on my monitor, in fact its more up to date that what is on the website. so thoughts? I am tired of having a game I Can't play, I may just say screw it, and uninstall it and never touch it again.

be aware I have other games that are HDR compatible and play perfectly fine with this monitor.

  • i finally got it to work. go figure from an old reddit post. go to documents and delete your starwars battlefront 2 folder. it should have settings, shaders, screen shots etc in it. delete the entire folder. then reset your settings in game menu. and you should be able to load into a game.

yeah it sucks. I have a game I am unable to play. There has to be something illegal about this.

  • went into mdmp file. and got this
