SWBF2 Improper format/massive bug

I recently bought Star Wars Battlefront 2 and opened it for the first time through Steam. As I get in, I can't click anything to even see my mouse. If I click I can see the mouse come up for a split ...

    Unplug the controller from your PC; just use mouse/keyboard.

It's a H.O.T.A.S. that was plugged in. But yeah apparently that counts as a controller. It fixed the issue. I'm just annoyed I had to do that.
