teleport glitch

Product: Star Wars Battlefront II
Platform:Sony Playstation 4
What is your issue related to? General
Summarize your bug I just logged on to HvV this morning, however, my character keeps randomly teleporting back a few feet. I have been enjoying this game, and this has become an incredibly frustrating issue. This glitch also appears to be occurring in all modes requiring online play. My internet seems to be fine. Any help would be appreciated.
What is your gamertag/PSN ID/EA Account name?
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Can you tell us the date (MM/DD/YYYY) that you saw the bug? 03/19/20
What time did you see the bug? (HH:MM AM/PM) 08:30 AM
In what game mode did the bug occur? Heroes vs. Villains
What is your time zone? CST - GMT - 6:00
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I honestly don't know how the bug happened, I just started playing HvV this morning and it started happening. Again, it's not only HvV.
What happens when the bug occurs? I teleport at random times, which makes it hard to do literally anything.
What do you expect to see? I hope that someone can help me.

By your description it seems like a 'rubberbanding' effect, where the game keeps bringing you back to a previous spot. This happens to me whenever I play on Wi-Fi, or when my computer has been turned on for a long time, or randomly on those bigger modes. This rubberbanding effect is usually associated to any sort of lag, be it a connection lag, a processing lag, any type of delay between your action and the server acknowledging it. It can happen to other stuff to like using an ability and it not happening and immediately being useable again.

Check if your connection is fine. Sometimes the lag message is ok, but you're in an unstable connection, like Wi-Fi, and that may cause the issue even without showing any lag message. Processing lag sometimes doesn't show any lag message at all too, this happens when your hardware can't handle the game's request in a timely manner, which can then cause rubberbanding. Usually if your hardware gets too hot this can happen.

Is there anything else you may share on it?

    @RogueZeroRendar

Thank you! It turns out my internet router was completely fried. I have it all up and running now, thanks for the support!

  • @dextrin28 I'm glad I could help! Oh and BTW, if my solution worked for you, don't forget to choose it as the solution to this report, so when other users come here with the same problem, they can see this report and know a method that solved it for you, so it might solve it for them as well.

Have a good time on the Battlefront!
