It's got nothing to do with whether a person's a newbie or veteran; I've seen plenty of trash talk and name-calling from both groups of players. If I had to guess, lately I've seen more bad trash talk from newbies tbh.
Veterans trash talk about newbies lack of skill (obviously it's just because of lack of experience), but I've seen plenty of newbies recently trash talk about veterans high levels meaning they have no lives etc or put veterans down when they die as if they think a high level means veterans should be invincible and a veteran dying means they're terrible at the game etc.
