The Gonk Droid Appreciation Thread.

Did you know that once a group of far relatives of the Gonk Droids, the Plunk Droids, saved the Galactic Republic through sacrifice?
Here is the tale of these forgotten martyrs:

It was in 22 BBY when Commando Droids infiltrated the Rishi-Station to send a constant all-clear signal to the fleets of the republic.
This was all to cover the vile plan of General Grievous to directly attack the clone production plant on Kamino – the only thing in his way was just this outpost.
After Rex, Cody and the Domino Squad temporarily regained control over the outpost, there was no other choice than to destroy it in order to warn the republic in time.

Three unknown Plunk droids, whose kind was widely used as mobile Tibanna gas power cells, were chosen for this task. After being wired together, they were sent into sleep before meeting their end.
At the end oft his last stand against the invader, Hevy fused this now deadly droid combination by hand and by sacrificing himself alongside with them, the station was ripped apart in a great explosion.

The all-clear signal disappeared and Grievous was intercepted by the grand fleets of the Republic.

Once more the glorious Republic was victorious and the enemy defeated.
