Not really...your team should also have 2 heroes at the same time (if this is GA). Now if they spend time on getting kill streaks than getting rid of the opposing team's heroes and not playing/assisting in achieving the objective...only then you will have a problem. Like in Crait a younoober with Leia trying to OHK from miles away while a Vader cleans up the tunnels/crevice with all that salt.
The heroes are so overpowered than the Anakin hero kill only push a button from sniper distances.
IMHO after 3 years playing this game, the heroes are the big error of this great game.
These are too powered and cheaps.
It's very simple to understand: if initially one team is already better than the other, then give them heroes and the balance of the match finish here.
@SerMonsterKillerThat's a problem in GA exclusively I'd say and, as you said, the issue are people that are desperately tryharding in the very first minutes of the match to get a hero at a point where most opponents can't even afford to play as enforcer. Sure, killing enemy soldiers is not that hard when no enforcers or vehicles are around, though Supremacy matches usually last longer than just 10 minutes.
What GA and Supremay both have in common however is that heroes don't really win you the game unless they're played properly and the team is better overall.
Even in Supremacy it's futile when I capture one objective after another as hero and really try to play the objective only when the rest of my team isn't able to keep them or the other objectives that were captured by them already.Victory or defeat basically depends from which side has the better top 5 (something) players, that's it.
Many, many pros in Supremacy just play as enforcer all the time, make any mistake or have bad luck as hero and you get melted within like 3 seconds. Just like Dark Souls.
As Supremacy isn't a camper Rush mode type like GA, there's most likely not even somewhere you can retreat behind your lines into absolute safety, you might just get harassed across all edges of the map until you're dead or found a way to fight back.
So no Leia or Vader redzone-camping here.
Other big error was when added the health regeneration for all heroes when kill. A person can have a hero all the match doing the strategy of hit & hide. But there are heroes don't need hide because are as gods: Anakin, Luke, Vader and Palpatine.
The GA mode has only 20 players per team. Has any logic that 4 players be heroes? IMHO no, should be 2 max.
@PsyEd2k4 You play on aussie servers and spend most of the time in the spawn menu waiting for a hero cause you aren't good enough to get one first, then you pick vader cause he's op. I think if heroes weren't in the game you'd be sad because you would become invalid. Perhaps also if you played the game and helped your team as infantry, they would have a better chance of winning, or perhaps you're better in the spawn menu cause you just feed tickets.
@Bandicoot422If you don't like these kind of players ---> Play Supremacy instead of GA, can't repeat it often enough.
Playing as hero is not a privilege for the starfighter BP exploiters only in this mode, everyone gets a chance to be one as matches last long enough and getting much BP is not that hard.
The number of spawn menu campers is significantly lower per team because no one feels rushed to immediately try to play as hero because the game will be over in the next 5 minutes like in GA.
@TRlALON I get a hero every game without fail, and without using officer, I main heroes, I don't dislike them as I have no trouble killing them either. But as psy3d plays on the same server as me and I see is him giving rubbish advice as all he does is sit in menu camping for a hero and otherwise stays single digits in elims I had to comment. He's an awful teammate to have on your team.
@Bandicoot422 strange accusations since I don't recall "waiting" in spawn menu to pick a hero unless it's on phase 3 of any map in GA. Moreover I was in favor of boots on the ground event from day 1 since I have a more chill out session for a over 40 gamer like me so my blood pressure levels stay in check. Yes I play in "aus" server since I'm unfortunate to be in that region due to work and my other half.. And since you already concluded that I'm not "good enough" or "invalid"...I shouldn't be even in the equation to be relied upon to make the team "win" 😉
Edit: Btw I checked one of my old Vid I did as Vader after the final patch...seems I'm playing for the team and the objectives 🙂
- @PsyEd2k4 Wow. Did you really just post a video to try prove that you are a team player when I've literally seen you lose my team the game sitting on naboo steps while I proceed to get more kills as infantry than you even managed as vader.
And don't dribble nonsense I've seen you camping in that spawn menu all through 1st phase my dude, multiple times. You know it's cool if that's the way you have to get a hero, I mean kind of scummy but all good if you're not useful as infantry. But at least push with your hero so our team can win, and if you die, maybe someone more useful can play a hero. Saving the hero till next round helps no one.
