does the tropper drop give you a better chance of rare stuff since its twice as pricy?

In theory, yes, since you get "1 or 2 Trooper Star Cards" versus the other crates. However, from what I've seen, most people buy a hero crate.

Well, yes, but that is the case with every other crate (1 or 2 starfighter/hero cards instead of trooper), so the rarity is kinda the same, he didn't specify which type.
