Trying to open Steam for EGS copy?

So, I got SWBF2 free on Epic a little while ago when it went free. I was able to install and play just fine. Uninstalled because I needed more space on my PC. Found out tonight that a few friends got the game, so I tried to reinstall it through EGS. It opened up Origin, which isn't a problem, it's an EA game. However, Origin then launched steam, tried to run the game through Steam, and because I don't own the game on Steam, I got redirected to the Steam store page for BF2. I tried completely closing steam through task manager, origin, and epic, then tried several times, opening only origin and epic, or just one of them. Regardless of what I do, it keeps relaunching steam whenever I try to install BF2 and redirecting me to the Steam store page. On Origin, it shows the EGS icon at the bottom of the game image in my library, but it's still trying to launch through steam, which it can't. Anyone else having this issue / know a fix?
