Unable to link my PS4 to Ea servers

I have tried pressing playstaion icon to login to create link, however it asks me to reset password, which i do, however all tis does is change my EA password does not link my ps4. Each time i retry just ask to reset password again. I can login to EA on pc and steam but ps4 wont link. Paid for ea play and have tried numerous games on ps4 none ask for login details , just ask to change password via  a qr code screen or link neither of those go anywhere. Please help
