I think it is too early to tell how well balanced Galactic Assault really is. Right now you have a lot of people who just don't know what they are doing.
I've been in groups of 10+ people though and we straight destroyed the defending team because we were actually playing the objective.
Disorganized chaos favors the defenders. But if you as the team make strategic coordinated moves you only have to "win" one time while the defenders have to "not lose" the entire match.
Also, HvsV is by far the LEAST balanced format, at least right now.
The dark side have 4 top tier HvsV heroes (Vader, Kylo, Boba, Maul) and the 2 strongest characters to be targets in the game (Boba Fett and Darth Maul). Plus Vader who is absurdly over-stat'd. The dark side can bring an absolutely absurd amount of crowd control to the table.
The light side has 1 top tier HvsV hero... Luke...and they don't even have 4 characters that have an improved jump. They have absolutely no answer for Boba Fett who can hang out on ledges that are inaccessible to any other character. They have no one who can 1v1 Vader or Boba Fett if either of those characters are played correctly. They have no one who can catch Boba Fett or Darth Maul. I play a lot of Boba Fett and if I die in a match it's because I did something stupid. If I don't get an elimination every time my rocket barrage is off cool down, it's because I messed it up. Boba Fett is absurdly imbalanced and his rocket barrage cards need nerfed. The dark side has a distinct advantage on maps where there are ledges especially since non-force users are free kills anywhere near a ledge and while Luke and Yoda have pushes, they actually have to position to knock people off, while Maul and Vader have directional control on their position altering abilities... It's pretty ridiculous when the guy who pulls a team's back line into melee range and then freezes everyone in place and crushes everyone with a huge damage multi-swipe is the weakest character on your team...
If played seriously dark side should win every time. If you lose as dark side you either were dinking around with inferior heroes or you were way way way out-skilled.

I agree with 98% of things here,
With regards to HvV Dark side is TOO OP in forms of its saber chars, you can run 2 setups here on villains and destroy the team;
Boba Fett, Vader, Maul and Kylo or Boba, Vader, Kylo and Palpatine each can crowd control and take out most enemies together
Heroes however struggle with crowd control except for Reys mind control which doesn't do much as they can still attack, or Lando's stun charges which work a treat but it has too little of a timer.
Heroes can win but they HAVE to work together in an enclosed space i.e. kamino where you have eyes on all doors then you have an advantage as luke can also push them off the edges.
this statement is 1000% true "if played seriously dark side should win every time. If you lose as dark side you either were dinking around with inferior heroes or you were way way way out-skilled."
Any side can win, but Teamwork is a must, I run with a squad of 4 people and we usually grab objectives with ease as we have the luxury of voice communications

I strongly disagree about the heroes vs villains part, no offense but you need to find yourself more experienced players to play with, we have absolutely no issues literally destroying Boba fett and Maul in any map, it took us only 2 days to adjust to it. Boba Fett can be shut down by a high ranked chewbacca, maul can be easily handled by a high ranked Yoda or Rey. We have no issues handling Vader with any hero as Leia, Lando, Chewbie or Yoda. In any case Palpatine and Yoda are the characters that are harder to kill. My advised to you guys, spend more time in the game, learn how to to properly use them, get familiar with the maps and put the necessary hours to it; for example we have put around 80 hours each one of us.

Boba Fett without the right cards is not OP.
But you clearly have not met my Boba Fett.
I have only lost as the Dark Side one time. My profile rank is 29 and I only play galactic assault and heroes vs villains. I've played a lot of HvsV... I've got probably 100+ games in now and again only lost 1 time as Dark side. And it was because my entire team left early and even then I barely lost.
And yes I still win as light side. A lot actually. But not 99%+ of time. None of the light side heroes are as evasive as Maul or Boba and none of them can carry like Boba so if the enemy team plays the strong heroes skillfully there isn't much I can do to win. If you're playing against people who are uncoordinated and don't try to evade enemies when they are the target while playing Maul or Boba then yeah light side can win.
Vader has a very high skill cap. I was talking about a good Vader. Anyone can handle a noob Vader. But Vader has higher HP, the best CC ability in the game that is also a gap closer, a throw, and one of the most powerful single target nukes in the game, and higher melee damage than any other character. You shouldn't be able to beat Vader in a 1v1. Unless somehow Vader has to fight Boba Fett...

So maybe I was a little incorrect about HvV being balanced.
It definitely does feel like the dark side heroes have the advantage (though the emperor is god awful, at least without star cards)..
My thing is that I never ran across many issues in HvV because I always roll with a squad of players, and as long as we stick together we can generally wail on the opposing team and do what we need to do.
But really I'd like to shift the focus back to the main game mode, Galactic Assault. The entire premise of the mode is for you to camp your * off (at least in the final few stages of the mode). That's not very fun.
Overall I'd really just love for them to add Conquest to these large maps and add Drop Zone back to the smaller maps, as Strike also majorly favors the defenders therefore = unbalanced.
I really hope that anyone that feels these are real big issues will help keep this post alive and towards the top so that EA can see it.
Ya'll know that right now their main concern is those damn Loot Crates and Micro-Transactions.... so I'm hoping that we can shift the focus more so onto this.
