An Update on Star Wars Battlefront II.I read somewhere the recent AMA didn't go so well. Haven't read through it yet.Crystal purchases seem to be gone, for now:Wonder where we go from here. Back to paid DLC?Any good, constructive, helpful suggestions what EA/DICE should do?

Crystals are not gone completely but only offline temporarily until they can straighten this mess out. They will be back with who knows what right now. Hopefully with cosmetics which has greatly been given in feedback already. But DLC should still be free as promised they will still make plenty of money off of cosmetics if that's what they plan to do..But gawd forbid if they bring crystals back and tie them to progression again I will never trust EA and DICE. This is like their last chance to get things right with the consumers. I'm still on guard with buying the game because who knows what they are going to do now.I am disappointed it took them this much attention and craziness from the community to finally get rid of this paid progression system though. They really need to start listening to us sooner because a lot of the feedback and demand that was given started years back ago in BF 2015 and even the progression system was highly getting criticized after the beta which they changed very little in. .

Cold hard truth remains. We don't get something for nothing. How does EA get the cash to keep paying people and services (e.g. servers) to keep to giving us new content, patches, updates and servers to play on?

I bought $20 worth of crystals and am absolutely no further along in my progress than anyone else. Crystals only allow you to buy crates. And crates offer completely random - offten junk items that do nothing to make a powerful toon. They have a chance to reward a small amount of credits so unlocking Luke or Vader or Palp would be obsenely expensive. They give a LOT of vanity cards (like the voices and battle stances,) and few Star Cards, and when you do get a new Star Card it's level 1.You have grind grind grind in PvP to get your Rank up. Only with higher rank can you upgrade your star cards using crafting parts. THAT's the big scam of this game - the path to advancement is via crafting parts, and this game rewards very few crafting parts. No amount of money can buy crafting parts. And the daily login reward gives you 5 crafting parts per.

So they say they heard us "lound and clear", then 2 seconds later state that microtransactions will be back? Congratulations, you managed to mess it up... again. Having pay to win system was part of the problem, but having microtransactions in a full price game is an issue in itself, with almost every game nowadays. Don't make your customers hate you.

Well if they bring it back and it's only cosmetic garbage. Then I'll stay gone and spend my money elsewhere on other games. Cosmetics do nothing for me. As my play time is very limited.

Game suddenly turned from having a balancing point for those that can't play often. To straight up garbage.

I don't care what they sell. Microtransactions have no bloody place in a 60$+ game. This game is not even finished anyway, we don't even have enough heroes to get rid ot the cross-era bs.

Micro transactions are in damn near every game these days. It's how companies keep their employees. Also how they can offer free dlc's. Maybe you have just been ignorant to them. Who cares what you like. It should be balanced for all that play. Not just some crying baby. That doesn't like an aspect of a game. One that they can't afford. Or two they don't have a life so they are always on the game.

Word is that the head of Disney called EA to sort it all out and a few hours after that EA removed microtransactions. Oh to be a fly on the wall when Disney told EA they are blackening the Disney name with their shify business practices.

I would be comfortable with normal non gambling micro transactions if they are balanced properly and do not skew progression (best being cosmetic purchases only). We must ensure EA no longer use gambling with loot grates in the game when they bring back micro transactions.

Would folks be OK if one could buy crafting parts directly?
Perhaps with a ceiling based on actual player level?
Or should it be purely cosmetic? In the first BF you could spend credits for emotes, looks, heads, outfits and so on. I'm guessing there wasn't a lot of uptake there, otherwise they would have used that system instead?

Good, for now. But I believe they will put them back as soon as they find out how many copies they sold.
Also, I wish they unlock oryg audio for polish players, we are still paying full price for incomplete game.
